Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey! The City and County of San Francisco, under the leadership of Mayor Daniel Lurie, has officially recognized The City Eats with a proclamation honoring 13 years of impactful service to our community.
Key Highlights from the Proclamation:
- Recognition of Service: The City Eats has been a beacon of compassion and unity, uniting our neighborhoods and empowering the youth through various enrichment programs.
- Support for the Vulnerable: Our ongoing commitment to support San Francisco's most vulnerable populations is acknowledged, ensuring that unhoused and low-income individuals are treated with dignity and respect, and provided with nourishing meals.
- Grassroots Change: The proclamation emphasizes our role in inspiring volunteers and uplifting communities, showcasing how change begins at the grassroots level and grows through unity.
Today, as we celebrate this recognition, we are not only marking our 13 years of service but also reaffirming our promise to build a city where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
In addition, we are excited to announce that September 6, 2025, will now be declared as CITY EATS DAY in San Francisco! This day will be a celebration of our collective efforts and achievements, and we plan to share this special day every year to honor the spirit of community and service that defines us.
Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication. Together, let’s continue to make a difference and spread kindness in every corner of our beloved city!
With gratitude,
The City Eats Team
